Google, the master of the Easter egg, has a surprise in store when you search for the name of that popular word puzzle game.
Millions of people play Wordle every single day. It’s an incredibly satisfying, bite-sized game that asks you to guess a five-letter word within six attempts.
Since there’s no Wordle app, nor does the creator plan to make one, you might find yourself Googling “Wordle” to find the website. Or perhaps you’re one of the few who hasn’t played it!
Whatever the case, Google has placed a fun Easter egg on its results page when you search for “Wordle”.
What Is the Google Wordle Easter Egg?
Google is known for its Easter eggs; little surprises designed to brighten up your day, like when you search for “askew” and it tilts the page.
Now, Google has added a surprise for Wordle fans (we assume you know what Wordle is by now). To experience it for yourself, head over to Google and search for “Wordle”.
You’ll notice that the Google logo looks like a row from Wordle and it changes as if someone is playing the game, complete with tile-flipping animation and all. “Column” is the first guess, followed by “goalie”, before finally landing on the correct answer of “Google”.
Of course, this could never be a real Wordle answer—it contains one too many letters.
You’ll discover this fun Easter egg on both the desktop and mobile versions of Google Search.
So, whether you’re searching to find the official Wordle site, or are hunting for some fun Wordle alternatives, Google’s got you covered.
Are You Seeking Wordle Strategies?
When you have five minutes to spare in your day, Wordle is the perfect accompaniment to keep you entertained and tickle your brain. Its popularity may not last forever, so check out the Google Easter egg while you can.
If you’re seeking Wordle strategies, you’re not alone. Don’t be afraid to take your time, reuse letters, and use words with popular letters; just remember, “Google” isn’t a valid guess.
